The Cricut Joy is here and I am here to tell you ALL about it! I’ve had a lot of people asking for a full Cricut Joy Review and I’m here for you.
First of all, I wasn’t sure what I would think of the Joy. I mean, I have the Cricut Explore Air 2 which covers ALL my paper, vinyl, and iron-on needs and I have my Circut Maker which is honestly my favorite devise EVER! I use it for to cut all my leather, fabric and wood. It’s an absolute beast.
I wasn’t sure I needed another machine, especially since this one seems so small. But boy oh boy was I WRONG.
As soon as I received my Cricut Joy, I set it up (it look under 15 minutes) and starting experimenting.
I realized immediately what this machine was all about.
THIS CRICUT JOY IS FOR EVERY.SINGLE.DAY!
While I was initially underwhelmed by its size, I realized quickly that the smaller sized machine is EVERYTHING.
The smaller machine allows me to use my machine for everyday tasks like making cards, creating labels and putting vinyl on my daughters’ bags/water bottles/lunches and more.
It allows me to make a quick gift tag, label a freezer meal and spruce up a science project.
I soon discovered that the Cricut Joy will most certainly not reside in my craft room, but on my kitchen counter.
Rather than use it for large-scale craft projects like my Confetti Backdrops or Teacher Doors, I’ll use the Cricut Joy for smaller, one-cut and one-paper projects.
The Cricut Joy is the perfect companion to my other machines.
WHY YOU NEED THE CRICUT JOY: A REVIEW
1. MATLESS
You no longer have to bother maintaining or buying Cricut Mats! The Cricut Joy can be used with or without a mat. No mat means less products to purchase, less mess and faster results.
2. COMPACT & PORTABLE
As I said above the Cricut Joy’s size is actually it’s VERY BEST FEATURE! It’s compact and can be moved easily from room to room. It fits perfect on a kitchen counter and sets up and puts away in seconds.
3. LONG CUTS
This is my favorite feature of the Cricut Joy! The machine cuts up to 20ft long!! Say what?! I’ve been wanting this capability for so, so long.
No need to switch mats or change out your vinyl.
My projects can now be bigger, be made faster and easier! Thank you Cricut!
4. CARD SETS
This is another HUGE feature for me. The Cricut Joy comes with the capability to make instant cards. I’ve been making homemade cards since I was a teen and it’s one of my favorite hobbies/sentiments.
In the last few years, making and sending homemade cards has been harder to make happen. I’m busy and it can be so, so messy!
Now the Cricut Joy and their card sets allow me to make a card in under one minute.
I can make a card before I run to a birthday lunch in seconds. It’s one cut, one card and and insert. GAME CHANGER! I think I made over 30 cards just yesterday.
CONCLUSION TO CRICUT JOY REVIEW
While I admit I was skeptical of the Cricut Joy, I quickly came to understand what Cricut was doing when they came out with the Cricut Joy.
They wanted to give everyone the opportunity the create everyday.
They made it small, easy to use and almost essential for everyday tasks. I’ve now found myself wondering how I lived without it.
