I’m sure you’ve noticed my absolute obsession with Palm Leaves lately from my PATIO INSPIRATION, DIY BACKDROP FOR BABY SHOWER and this post about DECORATING A BLANK WALL! I just can’t get enough. They make me fee like I’m in the tropics!
So in true obsessive form, I’ve teamed up with Cricut to show you how to make this color Tropical Backdrop!
The first thing you’ll need is a Cricut Air 2! I mean, you REALLY, REALLY need a Cricut Air 2. For this project and every project in your life. I use mine EVERY.SINGLE.DAY!
MATERIALS FOR A TROPICAL BACKDROP
Cricut Air 2 Machine
Cricut Cutting Mat
PALM SVG
Multiple Green 12X12 Pieces of Card stock
Multiple Pink 12X12 Pieces of Card stock
Large White Backdrop Paper
Hot Glue Gun
INSTRUCTIONS
- Download the PALM SVG file. (You can find the form to download at the bottom of the post)!
- Upload to Cricut Design Space.
- Size the Palm Leaf to fit on a 12X12 Cutting Mat.
- Cut in multiples greens and pinks
- Size the Palm Leaf to fit two palms on a 12X12 Cutting Mat.
- Cut in multiples greens and pinks
- Size the Palm Leaf to fit four palms on a 12X12 Cutting Mat.
- Cut in multiples greens and pinks
- Glue the largest palms to the top of the Backdrop Paper
- Work your way down the backdrop, gluing the smaller palms down as you go.
Hang and surround with fun tropical props!
