A few years ago I designed a Thanksgiving Tree for our family. My kids loved it and it started such a fun tradition in our home for the holidays.
It was a way to teach my kids about gratitude and help them to express thanks for all that they have and now it’s just a really fun tradition that we looking forward to every year. It was a huge hit here in our home and around the web.
I’ve had a few requests to re-vamp and update the colors of my thankful tree and I gladly obliged. Adding funky colors is always something I enjoy!
And if you’re interested, I also designed a large format Thankful Tree Craft if you want to check that out too.
Not only did I edit the colors on the thankful tree printable, but I spruced up the leaves and tree trunk/branches.
I took those colorful leaves and hung them on fabric-taped branches. They are branches from my back yard and I wrapped them in fabric washi tape. They were an easy and inexpensive craft, but did take A LOT of tape.
You can copy this idea or print the tree trunk that I designed to accompany the leaves.
Is this a tradition you do? I’d love to hear about your experience and the memories you make with your family.
Here’s what the files look like when you print them out. They are easy to cut and easy to assemble. I like printing the file on 80lb white cardstock.
You can print as many leaves out as you like, depending on your family size or how long you keep up the tree!
If you do make a Love The Day Thankful Tree, I’d love to see it! Send me a picture or tag me on social using #LTDprintables. I love seeing my designs in your homes!
