School is around the corner and I’ve been busy with some back to school crafts. I thought it would be fun for my girls to present their teacher with a gift on the first day of school and decided upon a flower boutonniere. Since real flowers die so quickly, I made a rose out of school-themed paper I purchase in the back to school section at Michaels. I followed the tutorial found on the Elli Blog by Lia Griffith, but used my favorite Cricut Explore to cut the pieces. And rather than make the stem long like in the tutorial, I cut it small and wrapped polka dot fabric tape (found at Michaels) at the base of the flower to create an area for the pin to go through.
