Another Wednesday and another Cricut craft for you today! It’s been such a fun month chalk-full of Cricut Crafts: DIY Flower Cake Toppers with Cricut, DIY Felt Crown Tutorial, DIY Birthday Chair Cover Tutorial and Party Paper Fans.
Today we’re making Felt Baby Shower Decorations! And the base is the oh-so-popular Embroidery Hoop. I’ve been seeing embroidery hoops all over the webs lately. They are all the rage for party, shower and wedding decor.
So today I thought I’d show you how to make embroidery hoop decor of your own. I made these for a baby shower, but they would look great for any and all events!
I designed these in pink, but they would also look SO cute in blues, golds, purples or yellows! Any color you might need to decorate your baby shower.
So let’s dig in!
HOW TO MAKE FELT BABY SHOWER DECORATIONS
MATERIALS
Cricut Maker & Rotary Blade
Cricut Felt
Embroidery Hoop
Beacon Fabric Adhesive
Glue Gun
Ribbon
Felt Balls
INSTRUCTIONS
Open Design Space and I customized the Floral Cupcake Topper project to THIS Floral Wreath Hoop project.
I put my AMAZING Rotary Blade in my Cricut Maker and went to work cutting felt flower pieces! Can you even believe how detailed the blade cuts the flowers?
Check out what else my Rotary Blade has made: DIY Birthday Chair Cover Tutorial, Embroidery Hoop Craft Tutorial and DIY Felt Crown Tutorial.
Next I piled up my beautiful felt flower pieces and played with them for awhile, creating different flower/color options and just staring at how beautiful they are.
And then I glued them together with Beacon Fabric Adhesive. They are even more beautiful layered on top of each other!
Next I hot-glued the leaves to an Embroidery Hoop.
Once all the leaves were glued and dried, I glued the flowers on top of them.
I then glued a felt ball in the center of all the flowers.
Once everything was all dry, I glue streams and streams of ribbon to the back of the embroidery hoop.
And that’s it! The most adorable (and easy) Felt Baby Shower Decorations of all time. The best part is that after the baby shower if over, you can hang the adorable embroidery hoop on a wall in your daughter’s room. And she’ll LOVE it!
I’d love to hear if you create these Felt Baby Shower Decorations. Tag me on social @lovetheday or use #LTDcrafts.
