Mother’s Day is around the corner (May 8th this year) and Michaels is already on it! They are ready and prepared to help you craft the best Mother’s Day present ever.
All forty-nine of the Michael’s Makers have been asked, for this month’s Maker’s Challenge, to create a DIY Mother’s Day gift idea to help you brainstorm crafts/gifts you can make your mothers.
As I started thinking about my idea, I knew I had to create a mother’s day gift idea with fresh flowers.
When I think of my mom, I think of her beautiful yard and how much she enjoys colorful and vibrant flowers. Rather than give her a generic potted flower, I wanted to create something with a little more ‘pow’ and that was more personal.
I purchased a generic potted flower from a local green house, took the plant from its container and placed it in an adorable paper strawberry basket (found at Michaels).
I spruced up the arrangement up with a tag I designed, taped to a striped party straw and stuck it in the soil.
I designed a bunch of fun tags that I thought you may be interested in. Tags that say, ‘world’s best mother,’ ‘a very, happy mother’s day,’ ‘a million trillion thanks for all you do,’ ‘home is where mom is’ and more.

As always, if you create a Love The Day craft or use a Love The Day printable, post an image to social media using hashtags #LTDcrafts, #LTDprintables, #LTDbakes for a chance to be featured.
