In my attempts to shine a little light on St. Patrick’s Day, I’ve been designing some add-ons to the FREE St. Patrick’s Day Printables collection I shared a few years ago.
Starting with these St. Patrick’s Day paper boxes. They are a perfect addition to any green day party and look especially adorable with rainbow candies attached (I hot-glued them) as the box handles. I filled the boxes with gold M&M’s and plan on using them to set a trap for our family leprechaun….Larry.

TIPS FOR PRINTING A ST. PATRICK’S DAY FAVOR BOX
- This printable has two box sides per page. Glue both sides together to make the box.
PAPER MATTERS!
When working with printables (if you’re not sure what printables are, I have a full post describing what are printables?), it’s important to know all about paper. While regular printer paper is great for things like science papers and receipts, they are not the best option for printables!
If you are someone who crafts with paper and printables a lot, I would always have a selection of 67lb, 90lb and 110lb paper on hand. If you are extra like me, you have both matte and glossy in all these weights!
I love both the Hammermill and Neenah Brand.
For favor boxes, I find the heavier the paper the better! I typically use anything over 90lbs.
PRINTERS DO TOO!
Now I’ve had my fair share of printers over the years, some good and some not great. I’m not super picky I just love a machine that distributes color evenly, has rich dense colors and doesn’t cost a million dollars!
The machines I’m currently using are the:
Canon PIXMA G4210 Wireless MegaTank All-in-One Inkjet Printer
Canon TS9521C All-In-One Wireless Crafting Photo Printer, 12X12 Printing
Both are great machines, although I think I prefer the G4120 a little more.
When printing the St. Patrick’s Day Favor Box, don’t forget to print the file at 100%!

The use of rainbow candies is such a good idea. I must find some for my party. The kids will love it especially with the story of the leprechaun trap. Thank you.
I love this St. Patrick’s Day box and also love that you are using gold M&M’s and rainbow candies. Looks great. Thanks for sharing!
