My kids and I love to have parties with friends. But when we can’t do a party with friends just yet, we make gift bags and deliver them. We have been so excited for the Fourth of July and fireworks that we decided to make a little party bags for our friends in the neighborhood. These Firework Gift Bags were so fun to make and would be the perfect party activity. Don’t you just love easy 4th of July crafts for kids?
We pulled out some glitter pens, mom special markers, and some other fun crafty goodness. I had a variety of gift bags in my craft storage that we used. Lucky for these kids I’m a hoarder, and I’m prepared for an activity anytime, anywhere. Ha ha! We all sat down and enjoyed some time chatting and creating with each other.
Supplies Needed
- variety of gift bags
- pens and markers
- glitter
- glue
- stickers or die cuts
- fireworks
- candy
Directions
- Using your art supplies, decorate each bag. You draw pictures with glue and coat them in glitter. Cover a bag in stickers and die cuts. Draw pictures and write messages.
- Fill each bag with fireworks and some candy. You can even sneak some of the candy to snack on while you fill the rest. Don’t worry. I won’t tell. 🙂
- Deliver the bags of fireworks and goodies to your friends. It’s always fun to be surprised with a little gift and know that someone is thinking of you and loves you.
Delivering random bags of homemade goodies and small gifts is one of my kids’ favorite things to do. They absolutely love being around people and playing with their friends. We have had a few cold days around here and the kids haven’t seen their neighborhood friends outside as much. We came up with the idea to deliver fireworks to them and the kids were thrilled. They can’t wait to go deliver all the bags to their friends tomorrow and visit with them for a bit.
We can’t wait to spend a warm summer night in the neighborhood doing fireworks with all the kids and watching them enjoy the special gift bags with all of their friends. Summer really is the best!
