As many of you know, I was featured in the 2020 Michaels Holiday Lookbook! It was a HUGE honor and I’ve been working around the clock to get you all the tutorials and DIYS I made for the set.
Today I’m sharing the template and how to make a paper gingerbread garland DIY. This garland is so cute on your mantel or hanging in your kitchen!
I designed the template so that you can create the garland with and without a Cricut Machine.
NOTE: Also from the Holiday Lookbook are my posts on How To Make A Vinyl Treat Box and How To Make Peppermint Decorations.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR GINGERBREAD GARLAND DIY
1. PURCHASE THE GINGERBREAD BUNDLE!
The first thing you’ll need to do is purchase the Love The Day Gingerbread Holiday Bundle from my printable and SVG shop!
This bundle will provide you with the ability to create the gingerbread garland with and without a Cricut Machine.
There is a pdf file of a printable version of the garland where you download and print the file on 110lb White Cardstock.
There is also a SVG file that allows those with a Cricut Machine to cut and layer the gingerbread garland with paper.
2. PAINT YOUR WOODEN BEADS WITH THE ACRYLIC PAINT
Grab your acrylic paint and paint your wooden beads pink! I like to place the beads on a dowel to make the beads easier to paint and dry.
Set them aside to dry!
3. PRINT PRINTABLE OR UPLOAD THE PEPPERMINT SVG FILE TO CRICUT DESIGN SPACE
The next step is to either print out the printable gingerbread pages or upload the SVG file to Cricut Design Space.
For those who are using the printable pages, print and being cutting the gingerbread garland and skip these Cricut steps!
4. INSERT THE FILE INTO A NEW CANVAS
Insert both your gingerbread boy and girl and also the peppermints into your Canvas.
5. PRESS MAKE IT & LET THE CRICUT DO ITS THING!
Resize the garland to meet your needs. Next all you need to do next is press MAKE IT and let your Cricut work its magic.
6. START GLUING YOU GINGERBREAD GARLAND DIY!!
Grab your hot glue gun and start gluing the pieces, buttons and pom poms on your cute little gingerbread boy and girl. Also, assemble the peppermints in the similar fashion of my Oversized Peppermints.
7. PUNCH HOLES INTO YOUR GINGERBREADS & PEPPERMINTS
Grab your hole punch and punch holes in the arms of your gingerbread boy and girls and also your peppermints!
8. STRING YOUR GARLAND TOGETHER WITH TWINE
Grab your red and white twine and string your gingerbread boy and girls along with your pink beads!
And BAM!! You are finished! How easy was that? Easiest craft ever right?!
