Fall is here and my fall mantel decorations are up! This year my decor revolved around a poster/picture I designed and decorated for my September Michael Makers challenge. I’ve had the phrase ‘falling for you’ in my head since the summer and knew I had to design a party and printables around it. I went to work and while a whole printable party is on it’s way, I first designed a 8X10 sign to help spruce up my mantel. I purchased a wood frame & mat (part of the RAW collection….see post here for more details) from Michaels and using orange acrylic paint, chalk paint and some sand paper, painted and distressed the frame to my liking. I then added the print and accented the mantel area with mini gourds, a fabric and burlap garland, fall candles and the cutest burlap acorns from Michaels. I love how it turned out and will be using this poster again.
