I feel so honored to be apart of Balloon Time’s Party On A Dime Challenge and able to share some fun Garden Party Ideas with you today. I and a handful of fabulous ladies were challenged to create a party with a $100 budget. Collaboration with other vendors and use of prior party supplies was accepted, but you were only allowed to spend $100 on all the decor, supplies, food, etc. The winner or the challenge will receive $5,000 to a charity of their choice. The charity I chose is Operation Shower (see my involvement with this fabulous non-profit here, here and here).
At the time of this challenge, I was planning my daughter Ellason’s, 5th birthday party. She loves the outdoors and flowers so we went with a Garden theme. I’m going to break the description of the party and events down by Decorations, Activities and Treats. So first off, DECORATIONS (my favorite part).
The bulk of my budget went to the purchasing of colored scrapbook paper for oodles and oodles of paper flowers (tutorials to come). I wanted the room exploding with color and used the majority of the flowers as the backdrop to the party table. I also scattered the paper flowers around the centerpieces, dessert table and mantel.
The other decoration expense was the printing of the printables. I printed the majority from my home, but wanted two ‘statement signs’ with my daughter’s name on them to serve as unique backdrops. I used my favorite printer, American Color Labs and am OBSESSED with how the oversized foam poster signs turned out. I think they made the party.
The remainder of my decor expense was spend on flower pots and watering cans (from Michaels on 70% off clearance….wahoo)!
The activities at our Garden Party were an absolute blast. We painted clay flower pots, make flower wands and the sweet guests wore flower crowns .
The desserts served at our Garden Party were homemade ice cream in ice cream glasses dipped in white chocolate & sprinkles, ‘worm in dirt’ pudding (chocolate pudding, crumbled Oreos and gummy worms) and vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting.Â
Needless to say, this party was an absolute blast. My sweet baby loved every detail and she talked about hosting her friends for days. If you enjoyed this party, I would appreciate your vote on behalf of Operation Shower HERE.
Darling! Love all your details.

I absolutely LOVE this party. The flower garland and the little crowns are so great. Question: What’s the font you used for the printables?
