It’s no surprise that paper flowers are a BIG thing around here. Every spring I can’t help but come out with some sort of Easy Paper Flower Craft Tutorial.
This year, I made these adorable paper flower favor boxes that are so fun for a quick gift or party favor.
I’m going to show you have to make it with a Cricut Machine, step by step!
They are a breeze to make and add such a fun personal touch to any party or evet.
EASY PAPER FLOWER CRAFT TUTORIAL
SUPPLIES YOU’LL NEED
Name Tag SVG File
Cricut Maker or Explore Air 2 Machine
Hot Glue Gun (I love this Xyron Glue Pen)
White Felt Balls
HOW TO MAKE A PAPER FLOWER CRAFT
1. PURCHASE THE MOTHER’S DAY BUNDLE!
The first thing you’ll need to do is purchase the MOTHER’S DAY BUNDLE from my printable and SVG shop!
This bundle will provide you with the ability to create the paper flowers with a Cricut Machine or any cutting device!
2. UPLOAD THE PAPER FLOWER SVG FILE TO CRICUT DESIGN SPACE
The next step is to upload the SVG file to Cricut Design Space.
3. INSERT THE FILE INTO A NEW CANVAS & DUPLICATE
Insert the flower svg into your canvas and duplicate the layers three or four times!
4. RESIZE ONE FLOWER LAYER
Because we are going to layer these flowers, you’ll need one smaller than the other. So take the flower layer that you just duplicated and shrink it by about 20%.
You can do that my highlighting all the flowers and taking the corner of the highlight and dragging it smaller.
7. PRESS MAKE IT & CRICUT DO ITS THING!
Next press MAKE IT and the project will arrange itself on color-coated mats! Press the Cricut button and watch the flowers cut perfectly!
8. FOLD THE PETALS
Once your flower pieces are all cut, fold each petal in half, giving the flower some shape and dimension.
9. GLUE PAPER FLOWER LAYERS TOGETHER
Once the flowers are all folded, use your hot glue gun and glue the smaller flower on top of the larger flower.
10. ADD THE FELT BALL
Next hot flue a white felt ball to the center of your flower! Repeat on all your flowers.
11. HOT GLUE PAPER FLOWER TO THE FAVOR BOX
The last step is to hot glue your flower to a paper favor box!
And BAM!! You are done! Repeat for all your desired boxes and you now have the most adorable spring favor box of all time!
