Last week I shared how to make DIY Flower Cake Toppers and DIY Felt Crown Tutorial and today I wanted to share how to combine those same cut files/projects to make DIY Party Paper Fans.
My very favorite thing about both these tutorials is that they can be used to make a complete party: Cake Toppers, Birthday Crowns, Birthday Chair Covers and these DIY Party Paper Fans.
So let’s get to it!
HOW TO MAKE DIY PAPER PARTY FANS
MATERIALS FOR PAPER FANS
Cricut Maker
Scoring Wheel
Rotary Blade (comes with the Maker)
Felt
Cardstock
Beacon Fabric Glue
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER FANS
I opened up Design Space and customized the Cricut Project to make a Cricut Paper Fan template and pressed Make It. I made the paper fans out of 12X12 Cardstock.
I made the flowers with the Scoring Wheel and it was a GAME CHANGER. It makes folding/scoring each petal so, so easy. I’ve said it before, but it’s my favorite Cricut tool so far. If you’re a paper crafter, you’ll LOVE this tool!
Then I put in my Rotary Blade and started cutting the shapes (from my Felt Crown Tutorial) with the incredible Cricut Felt. I saved the shapes as a project HERE.
I then used the Beacon Fabric Glue to layer the Felt Shapes and then glue those to the Paper Fan.
And that is absolutely IT! So easy right?! Once you’ve made your Party Paper Fans, you can use them as Party Backdrop, hang them from the ceiling or even use them for a Photo-booth Backdrop for your birthday girl or boy! Just like the photo below.
They Paper Fans look SO, SO cute behind a DIY Birthday Chair Cover. Especially if your little one is wearing the matching DIY Felt Crown!
