It’s here! It’s finally here! The 2018 Dream Tree Challenge reveal day has arrived! This is my fifth Dream Tree (see my 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 Christmas Trees) and might be my favorite tree yet. It’s a colorful Christmas tree with light and dark pinks, turquoise and accented with gold and glitter! Let me explain how I created it.
I started with a 7ft Pre-lit Norway White Pencil Tree. It’s the perfect tree for a front entryway, a nook or even your porch. It’s tall, skinny and so fun and easy to decorate.
The first thing I did was cover the pencil tree in Large Pastel Pom Pom Garlands. I wound the garland around the tree, tucking the over-sized poms into the tree branches. It took four garlands to cover the tree.
Have you checked out the Garland section at Michaels? It’s RIDICULOUS! The selection is so vast. There are so many colors, textures, themes and options.
Michaels holiday décor makes it SO easy to find your holiday style and bring your vision to life! From the perfect tree and trimmings (like all the amazing garlands I used) to creative gifts and DIY supplies, Michaels has all the ingredients to create wonder-filled memories for family and friends.
After I wrapped the tree in the Pom Pom Garland, I used Pink Fur Pom Pom Picks to fill in the holes in the tree. I just love the texture the cute fur poms brought to the tree! Plus that light pink is all the heart eyes!
After the pom garland and fur provided a perfect base for my tree, I went to work adding colorful ornaments to the tree.

6ct. Tiny Treasure Light Pink Mini Mirror Ornaments
Pink & Teal Glass Ball Ornament Tubes
The final touch was adding Large Gold Glitter Bows. They are a gorgeous dull gold that brought out the perfect amount of punch to the tree without overwhelming the design.
The last thing I did was place the tree in a nook and hung two of my Backdrop of the Month posters on the wall to frame the tree.
I then surrounded the tree with colorful pillows, presents and a mini gold table with my Paper Christmas Trees.
And that’s it! Honestly it was the easiest and most fun to decorate! I would love to hear what you think of this colorful, pink tree.
