So I only have three words for today’s post, PINK.FLOCKED.TREE! Yes, all my pink tree dreams have finally come true. I was asked to be a member of 2015 Treetopia Design Council and to decorate one of their technicolor trees. I chose their Angel Pink Flocked Christmas Tree (because PINK.FLOCKED.TREE), drooled when it arrived and then went to work! I had planned on designing a fun and playful tree (like my whimsical tree or my lumberjack tree), but decided to do something out of my comfort zone. I went a little more formal with my beautiful PINK.FLOCKED.TREE.
Most of the decor items I found at Michaels. I purchased fantastic mint green and baby pink poinsettia flowers to serve as the focal point of the tree design. I just love how the mint green ‘pops’ against the pink. I normally wouldn’t put the two colors together, but the green works beautifully with the flocked pink.
To help fill the tree out I bit, I used both gold and white sprigs and the remainder of the tree was decorated with pearly glass, heavily glittered wreath and snowflake ornaments.
I accented the tree with lots of gold wrapped presents, pink and mint green bottle brush trees and a glass vase full of coordinating ornaments. I love how the tree turned out and love how the pink tree looks in my living room. I may just have to do more ‘formal’ work, more often.

I love this tree. Can you tell me if the pink flocking sheds?
It shed a little right when I got it out of the box, but was actually not that bad. Not as messy as I thought it would be.
