It’s here! It’s here! My most favorite post of the year! It’s the Michael’s Dream Tree Challenge reveal day! Last year was my first year participating in the Dream Tree Challenge (remember my Whimsical Christmas Tree?) and I am over-the-moon-happy that I was able to design another tree this year. I just love being apart of the Michael’s Makers team. This year I decided to do something a little different. Definitely not as much glitter and way more berries, branches and ribbon.
I chose to design what I like to call my Buffalo Check Christmas Tree.
This is such a new look for me and I LOVE it! So rustic and cozy. It makes me want to cuddle up on the couch, drink hot cocoa and pretend I live in the mountains. Michael’s has so many fun items that make up this tree. Here’s what to look for if you are interested in recreating this look:
Berry Sprigs
Large Pinecone Sprigs
Antler Sprigs
Galvanized Ornaments (I used both the hearts and the snowflakes)
Chalkboard Christmas Ornaments
White Christmas Balls
Chalkboard Ribbon
Red & Black Plaid Ribbon
Large Rustic Wood Christmas Balls
Glass Log Section Ornaments
And super good news for those still needing a Christmas tree, from now until November 14, you can get FREE shipping on all Christmas trees that are 6ft or taller on Michaels.com!
Ready to start decorating your own tree? Make sure you visit Michaels’ blog, The Glue String, to see the other 49 Michaels Makers’ dream holiday trees that were created this year. They are crazy amazing!

Where did you get the galvanized fair isle crate? I *need* it!!!
I purchased it al Michaels! It’s the cutest right?!
Where did you get the antlers from?
I got them at Michaels!
Great job! I’m in love with all things Lumberjack. Where did you get the AWESOME wrapping paper? Michael’s?
I actually got the wrapper paper from the Dollar Section in Target.
I am obsessed! Where did you find the large frosted wood/twig balls? I have been looking for them everywhere! And the rustic looking ball ornament with holes in it?
Thanks Victoria! I found the large twig balls at At Home and the rustic ball ornaments at Michaels.
Darn I was at micheals and didn’t see them 🙁
I just love your lumberjack themed tree. I always love using coordinating wrapping papers and trim to carry through the look of my tree like you have done. I am pinning this and sharing over at FB and Twitter. I would love it if you would stop by and share this at Celebrate it Sunday. The party is open through Saturday. I hope to see you there. Hugs, Chloe
Love, Love, Love it! Absolutely gorgeous, Lindi!
