Happy June! Summer is here and it is completely legit to start talking and preparing for your 4th of July celebrations. I have oodles and oodles of 4th of July Party Ideas here on Love The Day (like this 4th of July Party,  4th of July Printables, Free Printable Garland, DIY Cupcake Toppers and more) and am excited to share some of my new ideas for this year. To start things off, I have created this diy confetti banner and I just love it! It’s funky, easy to create and looks great on a party dessert table, as a backdrop or hung across your backyard fence posts. Here’s how you make it:
MATERIALSÂ
Recollections White Pennant Pad (purchased at Michaels)
Red, White & Blue Confetti
Mod Podge
Hole Punch
Twine
INSTRUCTIONS
Rip the white pennants from your Recollections Pennant Pad. Take your Mod Podge and lightly paint over your pennants. Place pieces of confetti and stars on the painted pennant according to your liking. Let sit for a few minutes to dry. Once pieces of confetti are firmly in place, paint another layer of Mod Podge to create a smooth layer over the garland. Hang and enjoy!
Those banners came out great! This is an excellent DIY project to do with the kids. Pretty simple and not so messy, it will make a perfection addition in our next 4th party!
