Continuing on with my confetti and sprinkle obsession (see my DIY Party Centerpiece with Sprinkles and Decorating Your Presents with Sprinkles)! I purchased these adorable mini wooden spoons at Michaels a few weeks ago (in the section with pom poms, popsicle sticks and foam stickers) and have been brainstorming what I could possible use them for.
They are the perfect size for kids so I decided to use them as the utensils for ice cream cups I am serving at a party in a few weeks. When looking at the colorful striped cups next to the plain wooden spoons, the spoons seemed a little blah in comparison. So I grabbed me some paper crafting glue and confetti and set off to fix the problem. The result….adorable confetti wooden spoons. They look so bright and festive next to the ice cream and sprinkles and will give the dessert table a little added flair. They took minutes to make, but make such a big difference.
Read below to see how I made them.
