A huge thanks to Cost Plus World Market for sponsoring today’s discussion.
Mother’s Day is around the corner. What are you doing for your mom this year? How about hosting her a brunch!? A brunch with a menu of nothing but chocolate? I can think of nothing better to celebrate a mother and her hard work. I’ve partnered with World Market and Shutterfly to show you just how easy creating this brunch can be. And as a bonus, in a follow up post, I’m sharing a recipe of a Chocolate Orange Mousse that is to die for!
So how do you do it?! How can you create a vibrate and tasty Mother’s Day chocolate brunch that your mother would love? Read below for some of my brunch tips and for information on World Market’s latest sweepstakes. Patterns, Patterns, Patterns
Patterns are still all the rage so use and mix them! World Market is queen bee when it comes to ornate patterns and vibrate color combinations. I picked out four green toned, patterned placemats and paired them with four different patterned napkins. You would think this would make the table look busy, but oh no! It helps bring dimension and contrast.
Flower Power
When throwing any event, incorporate flowers. Always! And lots of them! They are a no-fail table decoration that spruce up any room and gives a mother’s day brunch the elegance it deserves.
Personalize
It’s easy to get caught up with the decorations, party favors and food, but remember that mom is the spotlight here. Try to incorporate her, her hard work, her successes and her loves into your brunch. Shutterfly has fantastic products that help bring mom to the fore front. I printed a bunch of photo plaques to help brighten up my table.
