Happy Monday! I absolutely LOVE having lollipops or cake pops at my parties (especially Lollipics), but never know how to present them. You can purchase those cheap plastic stands, but I hate how they look and think they are overpriced. And placing lollipops or cake pops in a vase/decorative cup leaves everything looking scrunched and fails to show off the design or uniqueness of the pops. So in brainstorming different ways to display pops of every kind, I thought of my fabulous friends over at FloraCraft and their great range of StyroFoam products. StyroFoam is the absolute perfect medium to stick lollipops and cake pops into! I thought I would experiment covering the foam in glitter to see if I could make it look party presentable. I LOVE how it turned out! Although messy, the lollipop stand looks great on a dessert table, showcases the lollipops and cakepops perfectly and can be used again and again. I am now brainstorming more ways to utilize the foam for the pops (hopefully posts to come): cake stands, pedestals, etc…
And the best part of this DIY Glittered Lollipop Stand is that it is inexpensive and super easy to make. Learn how I did it below.
And make sure to check out my latest designs over at Lollipics! They are perfect for a party favor, neighbor gift or stocking stuffer.
Materials
FloraCraft StyroFoam Product
Adhesive Spray
Glitter
Instructions
Unwrap your StyroFoam product and coat liberally with Adhesive spray. Quickly cover with glitter before spray dries.
Tip
Do not spray Adhesive on the glitter if there are lesser glittered areas. This will clump the glitter. Wait for foam with glitter to dry and fill in glitter with Elmer’s Glue. It’s best to get it right the first time!
