Happy October! My favorite month of the year is FINALLY here! And I am starting off the month with a huge bang. I have teamed up with World Market to showcase their 2014 Halloween Decor (perfect for a Halloween Party) and to help host The World Market’s Book of Life Sweepstakes. The Book Of Life, in theaters October 17th is,
an animated movie of a Romeo and Juliet-inspired love story set during a Day of the Dead celebration: Manolo (Channing) is a young matador who wants to shed the expectations of his family to follow his dreams of being a musician and his best friend, Joaquin (Diego), is the successful pride of the town. They compete for the heart of Maria (Zoe). In order to win Maria’s heart and save her life, Manolo must face his greatest fears and follow his heart to rewrite his destiny.
To celebrate the movie’s release, World Market is giving away:
Grand Prize Package:
5 Days/6Nights at Grand Velas Riviera Maya (hotel & accommodations)
Free Movies for a year
$1,000 World Market gift card
Book of Life Merchandise

And now onto World Market’s 2014 Halloween Treats! When browsing through their collection, I saw one common theme. Skeletons are where it is at. They are all the rage this year so why not throw a Skeleton social!? What I love about this theme and the decor is that it can be dressed up or down. Skeletons can be presented in a super scary and creepy way for an adult-only party, but can also be presented in a way not to scare children. With the help of World Market Halloween Decor, I have created a Skeleton dessert that is creepy, but friendly enough for all ages. Although it has a darkish tone (hello all black and white), the use of the googly-eyed spiders, fun garlands and candy jars help the table appeal to children as well as adults.
Some of my favorite World Market decor items from this spread are the:
Skeleton Paper Garland
Scary Gauze Fabric
Spellbook Treat Jar
Black Skull Apothecary Treat Jar
Potion Bottle Measuring Cups
LOVE it! That skeleton garland is so cool – I have to go get one!
That black gauze is great for decorating, I have to get some of that to add to my Halloween collection this year!
Love it the details are fun and that garland to die for!
So cute Lindi! Love the garland and world market decor always so fun! Oh and the way you used your accent wall was brilliant! Well done 🙂
