If you follow me onĀ Instagram, you know I’m in Utah celebrating the homecoming of my sister from her 18 month LDS mission in the Philippines.Ā My mom (@solovetheday) and I have had the absolutely BEST time getting ready for her homecoming party! We’ve gone crazy making huge paper flowers, blown up a bajillion balloons and have made oodles of hand lettered signs to hang up around the house. Make sure to follow along to see all the pink madness!
And if you’re not on Instagram, never fear! I have a superĀ simple summer lemon centerpiece idea for you today here on the blog! This is by no means original, but a fun twist on a traditional lemon centerpiece. It looks perfect on a summer table and looks fantastic with 4th of July red, white and blues.
Here’s how I made it:
MATERIALS
Mason Jar
Lemons
Flowers
INSTRUCTIONS
Take your lemons and cut them in thick slices. Place your lemons in the mason jar, layering the lemons on top of each other. Layer the lemons until they reach the top rim of the jar. Place your flowers (I like to purchase an arrangement from my local grocery store or Costco).
