Hi friends, Elise here from Polka Dotted Blue Jay and I can’t wait to share how to make these pool party water bottles with you today. They are perfect for a summer pool party!
I don’t know about where you live, but here in Southern California, summer is in full swing and the weather has consistently been over 100 degrees. It is hot and my nephews and niece have been living in their backyard swimming pool. It is the perfect way to beat the heat, have some fun, and wear them out every day.
Each of them is notorious for opening water bottles and then leaving them around the patio. I thought it would be fun to make custom water bottles that they can use every day while they are swimming and enjoying their summer vacation.
They would also make a great pool party favor for party guests to use at the party and take home. I love the idea of giving a water bottle, a pair of flipflops, and a bottle of bubbles for each guest to enjoy. Wouldn’t they be a great addition to these Fun in the Sun buckets?
Summer-colored water bottles
How to make your pool party water bottles:
Create a design in your cutting software (I used this one)
Cut out the vinyl
Clean your water bottle
Attach the vinyl design to the water bottle following your vinyl directions
I love how simple these were to make; I just had to be careful when I weeded the vinyl design to make sure I didn’t pull up any of the letters. They are the perfect pool party favor or a gift to give just for the fun of it. With weather this hot, who needs another excuse to drink more water and stay hydrated?
You can also add each party guest’s name to the other side of the water bottle for easy identification while everyone is swimming. This is especially helpful if you have multiple bottles of the same color.
What color pool party water bottle would you choose? I would pick a mint or pink one for myself. Enjoy your summer and tell us what you’re up to in the comments.
Love this? Pin it for later!
