While treats and dessert tables are party essentials, activities and games trump all. So I’m back today to share a bunch of fun watermelon party activities, games and crafts! It’s important to keep your guests engaged, entertained and give them something to take home to remember the party. For the Watermelon Party (Post 1, 2 and 3) my daughters’ and I decided upon three activities: necklace making, decorating/customizing watermelon purses and watermelon bowling.
For the necklaces, I picked out red, white and green colored beads in all different shapes and sizes. At the party, guest strung the beads on some fishing wire that tied at the ends. Super easy and kept the guests engaged and excited.
The Chinet Watermelon Purses (tutorial coming this afternoon) were a HUGE hit! Each guest was given their own purse and foam sparkle stickers that spelled their name. They were able to customize their purse with the stickers and place their party favors and necklaces inside.
The Watermelon Bowling was by far my favorite activity of the party. It was hilarious to watch and the girls loved the silliness of bowling with a watermelon. I looked around to buy bowling pins, but they were expensive. Instead I decided to make my own with Pringles cans wrapped in the Coordinating Papers in my Watermelon Printable Collection. They worked perfect!
hi! love this idea -what is the thing you used on the floor of the grass to boll on?
