I am so exited to share the photos from my daughter’s fourth birthday party (have you seen her
Ladybug Party and
Watermelon Party). It’s a vintage butterfly party and everything turned out just lovely. One of my favorite details are the DIY butterfly chandeliers I made by hanging
wire mesh butterflies from a
floral wreath with
fishing line. I made two of them and hung them in trees over the butterfly dessert table. My second favorite detail were the ruffle garlands made by
Jenny of Hank and Hunt. Receiving the garlands (which were hand-dyed) in the mail was like Christmas!
The butterfly party featured two tables, a dessert table and a tea party table.
DESSERT TABLE
The dessert table was filled with decadent homemade goodies: blueberry mini pies, chocolate mousse, homemade marshmallows and lemon tarts. The centerpiece was a gorgeous butterfly cake made by Rene Takes The Cake. Peony flowers sat in vintage tea cups and the homemade marshmallows rested on gorgeous glass cake stands. The pies and dipped Oreos and tarts sat on square cork boards wrapped in vintage fabric.
TEA PARTY TABLE
The tea party table was set simply with
vintage plates set on
vintage fabric. Each guest received a sweet strawberry cupcake and a party favor bag filled with delicious
pastel mints. The centerpiece of the table was a vintage bird cage filled with fresh flowers.
