Taking a little brake from holiday posts for a fun DIY today! Spruce up your next dinner party with these Paper Bow Tent Cards. This idea was inspired by my Bow Tutorial post. They are simple to make and look absolutely adorable on a place setting. I have a full tutorial below, but want to share a few tips to help ensure your paper bow tent cards turn out fabulous!
First, I would skip out on your regular glue and use hot glue for sure. I love the Elmer’s Dual Temp Mini Hot Glue Gun. It’s perfect for DIY projects and switches easily between low and high temperature bonding. And my favorite part…the gun has an insulated nozzle that protects against burns. I’m the queen of glue guns burns, so I am crazy about this feature! Safety first, right?!Â
Second, make sure you print your Paper Bow Tent Card template on 110 lb cardstock. Anything lighter makes the tent cards look a little flimsy.
And third, write the names/food on your tent cards before you glue on the bow. It gets a little tricky writing with a big bulky bow in your way.
