Although it’s 100 billion degrees here in Texas, I am moving forward with fall and making treats accordingly! All my favorite stores are coming out with their fall baking supplies and I’ve got a loads of recipes I’m dying to try.  I’ve been dreaming up these mini trifles in my mind for awhile now. I love the flavor of maple, but rarely use it. I thought I would experiment with Word Market’s Chocolate Maple Pecan Crunch and the yummy Torani Caramel Sauce (also found at World Market). I decided to use a Butter Pecan cake as the base because of it’s nice fall flavor. It’s just rich enough, but not too flavorful to overpower the other ingredients in the trifle. I use a basic cake mix, because why mess with what’s already near perfect. Now the magic of this trifle comes in the whipped cream. I whipped my cream with maple favoring and apple pie spice…uhmmm hello!!! It turned out crazy amazing. I layered all the ingredients and bam! The perfect fall mini trifles. See the full trifle recipe below!
I love trifles! Check out my Strawberry & Chocolate Mousse Trifle.
