Recently I had the opportunity to try some new crafting products from Tulip called “For Your Home.” A fun box arrived at my door and I was excited to see what Tulip has been up to. I opened up the box and found all sorts of goodies: stencils, fabric paint and a canvas pillow cover. Now I have always wanted to be a stencil on canvas pro, but have struggled in the past. I can never hold the stencil in the right place long enough for me to paint straight. Super frustrating. Lucky for me, Tulip has made stenciling super easy breezy. They have a secret weapon! Check out the instructions below for some no-fail tips into stenciling and to learn more about this so-called weapon.
- Tulip Large Chevron Textile Stencil
- Tulip Motif Stencil
- Tulip Timeless Elegance Soft Fabric Paint Collection (2 metallic and 2 matte colors)
- Tulip Paint Roller
- Tulip Stencil Spray Adhesive
- Tulip Grey 16 x 16″ Pillow Cover
Step 1: Spray
This is my favorite of all the Tulip products. In the past, my stenciling was never successful because I struggled to hold the stencil and paint at the same time. Hello Tulip® Stencil Spray Adhesive! All you have to do is spray this fabulous adhesive to the stencil and place the stencil on the canvas. It works brilliantly! It was so nice not to worry about things shifting around.
Step 2: Paint
Use Tulip® Paint Roller to apply the a coat of paint over the stencil. Let dry and then paint another coat.
Step 3: Reveal
Remove Tulip® Textile Stencil and wham!! It’s all done. Let paint dry up to 1 hour. Clean stencil immediately.
