I’m back from NY and had the most amazing and inspirational week and can’t wait to share the photos and stories with you, but before I do I want to talk about something VERY near and dear to my heart.
My long time friend, Jenny was diagnosed with leukemia in November and in an instant her world changed. She went from being a full-time PhD Student to being a full-time patient, dedicated to beating the cancer that was attacking her body. Where her days were filled with reading, writing, researching they are now comprised of chemo, shots, rest and lots of waiting. With two months down and two years to go, cancer-beating has proved to be a very expensive ordeal! In an effort to help Jenny with her treatments, medical bills and prescriptions, her friends have put together an auction in which retailers/moms/students/etsy shops/friends/family/anyone can donate time and talents for sale and all the proceeds go to Jenny’s treatment fund.
The Auction will be held on Valentine’s Day, February 14th beginning at 9am EST.
Now I’m here to mobilize! If all my wonderful friends, followers and all my party gals helped in one of the following ways, I really think we could do some good! So please, if you feel so inclined, below are a number of ways to help my dear friend Jenny:
1. Donate a service/talent/craft/product to the We Love Jenny Auction (donating instructions here)
2. Purchase any of the wonderful services/talents/crafts/products available at the Auction (bidding instructions here)
3. Spread the word through FB, Twitter or your blog
There are a number of Love The Day gift cards available at the Auction, so if you are interested in purchasing a party from Love The Day, make sure to hit up the Auction on Valentine’s Day.
And to learn more about Jenny (which EVERYONE should because she is a most incredible person), check out her blog here. But warning, be prepared to be inspired, find perspective, laugh, cry and gain respect for one gracious and courageous gal.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your good friend Jenny!!
Good Luck Jenny!
This is such a fun idea. Love you Jenny!
