As a mom of two daughters in school, I am always trying to participate in school events, neighborhood initiatives and national awareness or fundraising efforts for our school. So when a brand allows me to combine my passion for being a mom and educating my kids and crafting, I am ALL ABOUT IT. That is what is happening with SunnyD‘s current Book Spree Program. I craft and SunnyD sends books to my daughters’ classrooms.
All I have to do is purchase SunnyD (I grabbed some at WalMart) to make these adorable jack o’ lantern pumpkin drinks for my kids’ classes (which I would already by doing anyway), collect the SunnyD UPC labels and send them to school with my daughters. Teachers will then send the labels into SunnyD to get free books. For every 20 labels received, SunnyD will donate 20 free books. (expires on 11/30/15 or while supplies last) This is SunnyD’s ninth year of running the Book Spree Program and I couldn’t be more impressed. All grades K-7 are eligible and each class can receive up to 20 books. So to review, here’s what you have to do to get the books in your classrooms:
Step 1: Parents clip and collect eligible SunnyD UPC labels.
Step 2: Parents send UPC labels with their child to a participating teacher.
Step 3: Teachers collect UPCs, fill out the entry form and mail both to SunnyD.
Step 4 – SunnyD sends books to participating classrooms (limit of 20 books/classroom). Don’t Delay – Book Spree ends 11/30/2015
And even more important, these delicious drinks from my childhood, make the most adorable jack o’ lantern pumpkins! I made them by designing jack o’ lantern patterns, printing and cutting them out, and then glued the patterns to the drink bottle. I added some twine and a striped straw for some added flair.
