I am so excited to announce that I have been chosen to be apart of the FloraCraft Make It: Fun Team! I was introduced to FloraCraft at Snap Conference a few years ago and have loved working with them ever since. Each month I will be creating a craft with their fun supplies and sharing tips and tutorials along the way. This month’s craft was no joke! I was sent a large box of foam heads. I’m not going to lie, I was totally flabbergasted at what to make with them. Yet as I thought about it, I realized they would make a perfect accessory for my daughter’s Garden Party. I designed the party to be bright and colorful with loads of paper flowers adorning the room. I also made floral crowns for all the little girls to wear and thought a brightly spray painted foam head would display the crowns perfectly!
I chose a robin egg blue spray paint and when to work, learning a few things along the way. For instance, you will melt foam if you spray your paint too closely to the foam. It works far better to stand a distance away and layer the paint slowly. You may notice a few of the noses on my heads are a little melted. Lesson learned! Â I also learned that children LOVE to play with foam heads, crumbling the foam all over your house. Keep those things high and out of reach. You and your vacuum will be grateful.
Make sure to check out FloraCraft and all their fun products. And make sure to stay tuned for a FULL re-cap of my daughter’s Garden Party coming in the next few weeks.
Cute idea, Lindi. I love all of the flowers, and I can’t wait to see the rest of the garden party!
This is all so pretty!! The flower crowns are perfect 🙂
(and I should tell you…I don’t know if it’s just my monitor, or what, but your font is super hard to read..I don’t know if that’s something you want to change up)
