Heidi from Home by Heidi here. While preparing my party tables, I feel like it’s ALL about the small details that make the tablescape super special! When I was planning my son’s 6th Birthday party, I had an idea for the diy cake topper that I really wanted to do, but I wasn’t finding what I was looking for in the stores or online. Soooo after a VERY long search I decided to figure out how to make what I was envisioning myself!
I wanted a bright red #6 with silver stars to set off the Star Wars theme. Â I found an oversized #6 at my local party supply store. It was your typical multi-colored candle, but I had BIG PLANS on how to transform it into exactly what I wanted! Â A little bit of Elmer’s glue and red glitter did the trick!
Tip…make sure to let the candle dry flat over night or you might end up with a glue-glitter landslide!
