Now that Easter is over and we have a few months before another major holiday, it’s time to prepare for end of the school year parties and summer. My mom typically creates a new garland for each season and came up with this darling heart and pom pom garland to celebrate the coming of summer and end to another year in school. It can be recreated for any holiday, party, season and is a perfect baby shower gift! I mean how cute would this look in a baby’s nursery? Here is how you make it:
Supplies
Fabric
Batting
Pom Poms
Thread
Sewing Machine
Instructions
Cut out a bunch of fabric hearts, all the same size. Fill two hearts with batter (pattern on the outside) and sew a one inch seam around the heart making a mini heart pillow of sorts. Take your need and thread and string through the center of three or four pom poms and then a heart pillow. Continue to desired length.
Easy right?! As always, if you create a version of this garland I would love to see it. Post it on social media using hashtag #lovetheday or email me a photo!
Love this! So simple, cute and slightly vintage like. xo
I love this idea! Currently planning a girly debut party and this would make the perfect party decor! A debut party is somewhat of a big deal here in Manila so we’re definitely pulling out all the stops. Thanks for the tutorial, Lindi.
