With babies ALWAYS making an entrance, I’m constantly looking for new ways to decorate for baby showers on the cheap. I especially love creating a DIY backdrop for baby showers to create a focal point for my dessert or food table and to reinforce my theme. I’ve teamed up with Chinet to create this EASY, but striking DIY Backdrop for Baby Showers. It takes but just a few minutes to make, and is even easier to install.

I love that this backdrop is easy to create (and hang) and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that it can be adapted to any color or design. And the best part, it’s an incredibly inexpensive way to decorate a large area. The plates can take up a whole wall, helping to frame your dessert table perfectly. You can hang six plates or thirty-six plates, depending on the size of your space! It’s a perfect way to bring contrast and dimension to the party display.

MATERIALS

CHINET Classic White™All Occasion Plate, 8 ¾”

Acrylic Paint (color based on party theme)

Sponge Brush

Duck Tape

INSTRUCTIONS

Paint the CHINET Classic White Plates with your acrylic paint and sponge brush. I painted on two layers. Let dry. Hang the plate behind your dessert table with duck tape.
