Ever since meeting the Creativebug team this summer at the Michaels Makers Summit, I have been completely OBSESSED with their classes and learning new crafting skills! I’ve taken their Watercolor, Pumpkin Carving, and now the Wooden DIY Centerpieces class and have loved them all. This Wooden Centerpiece class was fantastic. I wanted to make a fun centerpiece to match my Lumberjack Christmas Tree and decided the wooden centerpiece would be perfect! I took the 30 minute class, learned how to paint the DIY centerpieces and went to work taking the skills I learned and made the centerpieces my own. I painted the base of my wooden pieces red and white and spruced them up with a herringbone pattern (I purchased this stencil). Once the pieces were painted, I paired them with candles, white, pine cone and berry sprigs, mini wood chips and buffalo check ribbon. I just love how it turned out! To learn how to create Wooden DIY Centerpieces of your own, head over to the Creativebug site and check out their classes.
They actually have a fabulous holiday promotion you may be interested in. I love the idea of gifting crafting classes to a creative in my life. I can’t think of gifting or receiving anything better. The promotion is buy a year subscription and get a year free! So it’s a present for you and someone else!
