I am totally one of those moms who LOVES, LOVES, LOVES kid holiday programs. I love the cheesy songs, the homemade costumes and I am obsessed with that one kid who loves to be the star of the show.
You totally know that kid…the screamer. I just love it. And what’s a preschool or elementary school Thanksgiving program without pilgrim hats?
They are a must; almost a rite of passage.
A friend asked that I design her a printable of these iconic Thanksgiving pilgrim crafts for kids in her class and I was ecstatic to do so.
I thought you may be like me and love little pilgrims running around, so I am offering these pilgrim crafts as a free download below.
Here’s how you make them:
SUPPLIES FOR A DIY PILGRIM HAT
Heavy White Cardstock
Printer (why you need this printer)
Pilgrim Hat Printable (download below)
Scissors
Stapler
Glue
HOW TO MAKE A DIY PILGRIM HAT
Download the FREE Pilgrim Hat printable at the bottom of this post.
Print on heavy white cardstock and cut out.
Using the black strips, staple the strips together based on your child’s head size in a circular crown.
Glue the brown hat band to the pilgrim hat and then the gold/yellow buckle on top of that. Glue or staple the hat to the circular crown and place on your little’s head.
