Summer is pretty much here in Texas and it’s a perfect time to throw outdoor parties! I have some fun outdoor entertaining tips to help you host the perfect outdoor bash on the cheap. I created this spread for under $300 with goodies I found at my new favorite store, At Home. Have you been there yet? It’s incredible…and HUGE. It has everything you could ever need to furnish a house, apartment and outdoor space. And all the products are stylish, colorful and so, so crazy affordable! It was the perfect place to find the materials for my backyard entertaining space, especially since our budget was tight.

We have a pretty big backyard patio and I wasn’t sure how I would fill the space with only $300, but purchasing this large yellow geometric umbrella helped dramatically. It helps frame the patio and I really think the bold pattern helps the area look more full. Isn’t it funny how patterns can do that?! Plus the umbrella provides excellent shade from the hot Texas sun which is essential for outdoor parties.

While a patio table was outside our budget, these fantastic mint green iron chairs were not. I’m pretty much obsessed with them. They have the perfect shape, are such a fun color and are super duper comfortable to sit in. I love how they look under the umbrella. My husband and I love to sit in them after the kids have gone to bed to chat about our day. We added a few outdoor pillows to the chair and area in case our kids or guests want to sit on the ground during out parties.

The last item we purchased with our outdoor patio fund is this adorable coral end table. It actually serves as our beverage table, but I love it’s size. It fits perfectly between our two chairs and is ideal for party snacks and drinks. Plus, it’s geometric look complements the umbrella so well. I added some faux flowers and bam…our outdoor space was finished. And for under $300! We’ve already received some great responses from neighbors and friends and I’m more apt to host more parties now that it looks so fun and colorful.
