Last week I had the great opportunity to volunteer with Operation Shower, hosted by the Walter Reed Medical Center. “Operation Shower is a non-profit organization that recognizes and honors the sacrifices military families make by producing and coordinating baby showers for expecting military personnel and their families.” It was such an honor to help set-up, welcome and recognize these remarkable men and women who sacrifice so much. I will never forget the look on a future mother of twins face when it was announced that everyone was taking home car seats (two for her of course).
And as an added perk, I was able to meet and interact with such fun and creative party gals/bloggers. Chris of Celebrations at Home who I just love, Amy of Stem Parties who is the Event Planner for all Operation Shower events, Sarah of Sheek Shindigs who helped me out during a slight wardrobe malfunction:), and sweet Ashleigh of Posh Parties LLC.
Thank you Operation Shower for all you do and for letting my be apart of such a special day. Make sure to check out Operation Shower to find ways you can contribute to such a wonderful cause.
