Now onto the best party of any party, the food! I scheduled the party post-dinner time so I could serve my favorite food group, sweets. My mom made my childhood favorite, rainbow jello, we dipped large marshmallows to make ‘color pops,’ the vanilla cupcakes (seriously the best cupcakes I have ever had) were made by One Sweet Slice, the fondant toppers were sent to me by Modern Luxe Events, the color explosion cookies (which I had a hard time eating they were so cute) were sent by Wacky Cookies, and the amazing crayon cake was also made by One Sweet Slice! More on these fantastic vendors later.
I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but each child/guest represented his/her own color. So the birthday girl who represented yellow, received a yellow cupcake, yellow color pop, a yellow-ribboned cookie, etc. The kids LOVED this and it was so fun to see them wearing their color proudly and loving their very own array of colored sweets!
