Are your kids bored yet? Mine totally are. It’s time to start pulling together some July 4th crafts to appease their boredom. And I am starting with these ‘Pop It Like It’s Hot’ push pops filled with Hot Tamales and Red Hots. They appeal to kids because of the treats and the fact that you can literally shoot or explode the candy from the push pops. My girls love them! And my favorite part about this little craft is that is takes almost no skill whatsoever to create. All you need is a few pieces of tape, a printer, a few snips and bam! So easy! Read on to see how to do it.

MATERIALS
Push Pops
Washi Tape
Crepe Paper
Pop It Like It’s Hot Printable (FRFEE download at the bottom of this post)
Double Sided Tape
Hot Tamales or Red Hots
INSTRUCTIONS
Grab your Washi Tape and place a stripe at both the top and bottom of your Push Pop. I used two different colors for variety. Cut a foot long piece of crepe paper and fold it five or six times. Cut small 1/4 inch strips in the paper, leaving the top in tact. It should look like fringe. Unravel and circle around the bottom of the push pop and tape. Download, print and punch out the ‘Pop It Like It’s Hot’ free printable. Adhere to the Push Pop with double sided tape. Fill with Red Hots or Hot Tamales and enjoy!
