Sometimes the hardest thing we have to do in the life is saying goodbye to the people with cherish dear. Time forces change and progress and oftentimes that means moving to a new location. We said goodbye this weekend to some of our dearest friends The Hintons who are moving to Hawaii. To celebrate their new phase, I decided to throw them a Farewell Luau Party in true Love The Day style. The party was at a nearby park with a gorgeous pavilion. With no framework to support a backdrop, I used party fishnets to frame the party and slipped “farewell cards” into it’s holes. I wanted our guest to write a farewell note to the Hintons as a remembrance of their time in DC. Using items from my Luau Party Printables I made and strung the Aloha banner and labeled all our fabulous food. The menu included goodies such as: pineapple bundt cakes, homemade macaroons, pina colada cupcakes, fresh pineapple juice and lots of popsicles for the littles.
Here’s another adaption of the Hawaiian luau party in different colors! And make sure to download FREE Summer DIY Props for your upcoming Luau party.

This is so cute. Where did you get the candy containers and drink tubs?
I love all of your special touches, especially the farewell notes.
This looks great! Just by looking at the pictures I felt like I was in Hawaii. Not that I would know what that feels like, but still. Your party looks very refreshing! Great job!

A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
