Easy Easter Table Decorating Ideas

Easter is just weeks away! Are you ready?! We will probably host a small Easter Dinner at our house this year and I can’t wait to start pulling everything together. In preparation for the holiday, I’ve teamed up with Chinet to share some easy Easter table decorating ideas to help you style the perfect spring tablescape.

Easter Table Decorating Ideas & Tips

FRESH IS BEST

When throwing any party or styling a tablescape, I always try to incorporate fresh flowers, shrubs or greenery. Especially for Easter, the colors and flowers that are available this time of year are stunning. Nothing brings texture and color to a table then bright, fresh flowers. And when fresh is not available, I still to to incorporate flowers/greenery of any kind so use fake if you have to!

LAYER, LAYER and LAYER some more!

When styling a formal dinner table, layer each table setting to the max! Even if you’re using plastic flatware and plates, layer to make them look more formal.

That’s what I did with this Easter Table. I bought gorgeous pink chargers and layered Chinet Cut Crystal Dinner Plates, then napkins, then Chinet Cut Crystal Dessert Plates and then finally a name card.

I also like to place two different sized cups (one for water and juice) for additional dimension.

WOOD, GLASS and PLASTIC oh my! 

I’ve found that the tablescapes I love the most, often have lots of different materials and textures on them! Here I used a wood crate as the base of the tablescape and placed a gorgeous glass cake stand on top of it. I love the contrast between the wood and the glass.

I also used, glass vases, plastic chargers and adorable wooden Easter eggs. All these different materials help the table pop and bring some great dimension to the table.

TREATS….Always

I don’t know about you, but when I enter a home with a table of sweets, I get pretty excited! Decorating with treats and sweets is ALWAYS a good idea. II decorating this table with a Cadbury Egg Cake, Vanilla Bean Cupcakes and sweet Angel Food Cake Bird Nests!
