This is my first year with a child in public education and I totally enjoy and love having a child in school. I can’t get enough of the the homework, holiday parties, contests and dress-up days. It’s like I am a kid all over again. And today might be the most fun day of all! It’s national Read Across America Day which happens to coincide with Dr. Seuss’s Birthday. My daughter’s school is celebrating reading by celebrating the man who really has taught almost two generations how to read. She dressed up as a Dr. Seuss character, gave ‘Oh The Places You’ll Go’ handouts to her friends and she will be coming home to Dr. Seuss-inspired cupcakes.
