If you’ve been following Love The Day this holiday you know that I’m having a very rustic Christmas! From my Lumberjack Christmas, Wooden DIY Centerpieces and Napkin Place Setting I can’t get enough birch, wood, pine cones and that fabulous buffalo check that is so in season. I decided to add another craft to my holiday collection and made a DIY Rustic Picture Frame. It was so easy to make and I love how it looks on my mantel with all my other decor. All it takes is an old frame (I used one from around the house), small wood chips, the Elmer’s Dual Temp Mini Hot Glue Gun, ribbon and a rustic car figurine. Read below for instructions how to make.
MATERIALS
An old frame (I used one from around the house)
Small Wood Chips
Elmer’s Dual Temp Mini Hot Glue Gun
Ribbon
Rustic Car Figurine
INSTRUCTIONS
Warm up your glue gun (the Elmer’s Dual Temp Mini is my new favorite! It switches easily between low and high and has an insulated nozzle that protects against burns) and then glue the wood chips around your frame one by one. I glued two layers of wood chips for more dimension. Next glue the rustic car figurine to the frame and then the bow. Place a photo in the frame and enjoy!
