Happy February! Valentine’s Day is around the corner and pinks are in abundance around here! I’ve spent so much time creating puny Valentines (like these ‘I Love You To Pieces’ Valentine Cards to Color and ‘Spread The Love’ Valentine Gift Tags) that I am just now getting around to my Valentine Mantel! I typically decorate with reds for Valentine’s Day, but decided to go with pinks this year.
Feeling crafty, I went to Michaels and explored their new Alphabet Soup by Make Market line. It’s all about personalization; taking raw materials and transforming them into something completely your own! This collection of surfaces, letters, frames and more come in modern, eclectic or rustic styles. From natural and finished woods, to a variety of metals, resin and patterned styles, the possibilities are endless. I’m pretty obsessed. The concept is everything I believe in.
I grabbed some fabulous raw carved letters (spelling love) and went to work sprucing them up to my liking! I painted them white and mod podged loads of confetti into the interlining of the letters. Read the detailed instructions below:
