A few weeks ago, I helped my darling sister plan our ward’s (a LDS congregation) annual Activity Days Summer Camp (a camp for girls between the ages of 8-11). It was so fun coming up with the summer camp theme idea, activities and schedule that I thought I would share some of the process with you. I’ll be sharing the camp prep in an upcoming post, but today I REALLY want to talk all about our matching T-Shirts and Totes! I found the BEST place to print T-Shirts and I can’t wait to tell you all about my experience.
To kick off our Summer Camp planning, we chose a theme. My sister wanted something fun, colorful and most importantly, a concept that would resonate with tween girls. We decided on a ‘Pineapple’ Theme with the motto of ‘Stand Tall, Wear a Crown and be Sweet on the Inside’ (definitely not original, it’s ALL over Pinterest).
I wanted to make the camp special for the girls so I decided to order matching T-Shirts and Totes with our logo and theme. I contacted Custom Ink to help with the process and had the world’s BEST EXPERIENCE.
If you’ve followed my Insta-Stories you KNOW that this company won my heart and I will never turn back. Like I told my insta-followers, I drank the kool-aid and am SOLD. I put Custom Ink up there with all my favorite brands: Michaels, Cricut, and Fiskars. Like what?!
From my very first interaction (which is all done online and over the phone), I was sold. I’ve worked with printing services before and it’s so, so complicated. So much gets lost in the process and I’ve never been super happy with the end results. Well, not Custom Ink. Guys….my life is changed. And when it comes to printing, I’m SO, SO picky.
So here’s what happened:
I was assigned a Custom Ink representative and she helped me through the process from start to finish. I told her all about the Activity Days Camp and what I was looking for. I gave her my budget and she sent me a T-Shirt and Tote design sample (that she created in her design space). Here’s what I received in my email.
What??! Darling! I love it! Is it that easy? I don’t have to do anything?
To be 100% honest. I was surprised she would even design a sample for me. I’ve never experienced that kind of service before. I assumed that I would create the graphic either in Illustrator or their Online Design Center, upload it to their site, try to center it on a mock T-Shirt and pray that everything turned out right. Not that I hate designing my own logos…I actually love it, but it was SO nice having her do it for me. It was refreshing not having to guess where the logo should go and if I sized it correctly. And surprisingly, I loved the logo she created (high praise from a Type-A, control freak, graphic designer)! It saved me an afternoon of designing!
That’s not to say I couldn’t have designed the shirts myself. That is most definitely an option that I see myself using for my future parties to match my printables.
And to top it everything off, I love that my cute rep recommended the tote and T-shirt that were the best quality for my budget. I thought that was a thoughtful touch. I would have chosen a plain cotton T-shirt, but she recommended a Poly-blend that is SO, SO much more comfortable and flattering.
Once I saw the sample in my email (which was a Tuesday), I immediately told her ‘let’s do it’. She process the order and 30 perfect shirts and totes were in my hands my Saturday. The whole process was SO, SO dreamy.
Here are a few other things about Custom Ink I fell in love with:
- The quality of both our T-Shirts and Totes were crazy amazing.
- There ways a a HUGE selection of products to choose from. I wish I had a larger budget, because in true Lindi fashion I wanted matching water-bottles, chap-stick, note pads, hats and on and on!! Can you imagine what you could do for a birthday party? Custom and matching everything! I die!
- I love that you can printing your designs on name-brand clothing like Under Armour, The North Face, Nike, adidas, Champion. I have a Gap T-Shirt that I adore that I can’t wait to get my logo printed on!!
- And lastly, I LOVE that you have the freedom to design your own graphics, use their pre-designed templates or have a design created for you. And it’s ALL included in the price.
So there it is guys! I’ve now shared my favorite at-home printer, where to print your backdrops and now I’ve shared THE BEST PLACE TO PRINT T-SHIRTS. And this is not the last time you’ll hear me talk about CustomInk! I’m so obsessed, I see myself using their services over and over again.
Have you used Custom Ink? Was your experience as dreamy as mine? I’d love to hear about it!
