Do you have a mega crafter in your family? Is your best friend pretty much Martha Stewart without the empire? Well I have assembled a best gifts for crafters list that will be a no-fail hit this season. Let’s jump right it.
CRICUT EPLORE
My numero uno gift for any crafter is a Cricut Explore. This baby has changed by life and I use it everyday. Here are just a few reasons (I think this might require a post on it’s own….post pending) why crafters should own this machine:
– This baby cuts ANYTHING! Cork-board, leather, chip board, fabric, foam board, card stock…you name it, it cuts it.
– You can upload your own SVG designs. Tis is the real kicker for me. I am a graphic designer and I want to cut my own designs! I simply upload my files to Design Space and watch the Cricut bring my designs to life.
– Print & Cut! Need I say more. No more cutting all your printable parties. This baby does it for you.
To see what I’ve made with the Cricut Explore, check out my DIY Paper Holly Garland, DIY Paper Christmas Trees, DIY Halloween Garland, DIY Geek Chic Tote Bag and Ice Cream Social.

XEROX 6500N Laser Printer
I’m not sure if you’ve read my post, The Best Printer for Printables, but I stand by what I said in that article. Since posting the article, I upgraded to this model and love it so much. The Xerox 6500N is amazing for the price. The color quality is superb and the ink is inexpensive. It’s another crafter tool that I use EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. Every printable or printed project you see on this blog was printed on this machine. It’s dreamy.
You can purchase the Xerox 6500N Laser Printer HERE.
Swingline Paper Trimmer
This puppy is on my Christmas list this year. I have been a die hard crafter for years without a paper cutter and I think I’ve proven myself worthy. Just read the reviews and specks on this thing. This line in particular caught my eye, ‘Cuts up to 10 sheets at once; 12 inch cutting length.’ Uhmm, yes please!
Check out and purchase the Swingline Paper Trimmer HERE.
SCISSORS & PUNCHES
I don’t know a crafter in the world who does not cherish their scissors and punches. I have a very strict ‘no touchy’ policy on them in my home. They are my life-line to successful crafting. Here are my favorite scissors and punches:
Fiskars Round ‘n Round Squeeze (2.5’)
This is my go-to hole punch mainly because they cut my 2.5′ Printable Party Circles perfectly. I like the handheld punches SO much more than the other because I have more control over where I punch. This is a must have for any printable crafter.

Fiskars 1/8 Inch Circle Punch
Is it embarrassing to admit that I keep one of these in my purse? I mean, how don’t you? I use it ALL.THE.TIME. It’s so handy to have around and it’s an absolute must if you are constantly using printable favor tags like I am.

Fiskars 8 Inch Titanium Scissor
There are loads of great scissors out there to choose from, but I’m a Fiskars gal. These are light, have a great grip and cut perfectly. I purchase them by the dozens.

RIBBON, GLITTER, PAPERÂ & TWINE
Crafters know that a successful craft is all about the small details. That’s why an overwhelming amount of ribbon, tape and twine is always necessary in any crafters supply stash!

I’m a grosgrain ribbon person myself, so when I saw this collection of polka-dotted ribbon I instantly put it on my crafters must have list. You can never….ever….ever have to much ribbon.
