If you’ve been following my insta-stories, you know how excited I am about the launch of the new Cricut Easy Press 2 Machines! And how I used the mini (6X7) EasyPress to make DIY Sprinkle Napkins for an upcoming party. I went through the whole process of how to make them step by step, but wanted to outline them here on the blog as well. So continue along to read exactly how easy the EasyPress 2 is to use and how it’s a must have to make these Sprinkle Napkins!
HOW TO MAKE DIY SPRINKLE NAPKINS
MATERIALS
Cricut Explore Air 2 or a Cricut Maker
EasyPress 2
Iron On (I used pink, dark pink and purple)
Cotton White Napkins
Ric Rak
Hot Glue Gun
INSTRUCTIONS
Head to Cricut Design Space, open up a new canvas and search the ‘projects’ tab. Type ‘sprinkles’ in the search tab and click on the Sprinkle Mug project and press customize.
Once you’re in design space, make the sprinkles larger! They need to by about 1 inch by 1 inch.Â
Place the first color of iron-on on your mat (shiny side facing down) and press ‘Make It’.
Once the sprinkles are cut, weed around the sprinkles, leaving the iron-on on the sticky-paper.
Cut around each individual sprinkle (leaving about an inch of paper around the sprinkle) and set aside.
Hot glue the Ric Rak to the bottom of the white cotton napkin.
Arrange the sprinkles how you like them on the napkin, and use the new Easy Press 2 to iron-on the sprinkles. I set the temperature to 315 degrees and used a napkin between the press and the sprinkle layer to avoid sticking. I also used a warm peel when removing the top layer of the iron-on.
There are SO many reasons to love these new Easy Press 2 (they come in three sizes)! They are perfect for large, medium and small projects. Their ceramic heat place creates an even heat surface that provides flawless transfers and I LOVE that you can get a precise temperature up to 400 degrees. It’s easy to learn and even easier to use. Pretty self explanatory actually.
I love how the DIY Sprinkle Napkins turned out and now I want to iron-on ALL THE THINGS! Sprinkles on T-shirts, back-packs, totes, make-up bags, my husbands suits (he’d just LOVE that). I’m so happy I have the Easy Press 2 to help me make all these things happen.
I think the sprinkle napkins will be perfect for an ice cream party, unicorn party or even a rainbow party! How do you think you’d use them?
And as always, if you create this Love The Day Craft, make sure to show it off on your social channels and use the hashtag #LTDcrafts. I’d love to see what you’re up to!
