It’s finally here! I finally get to share some amazing news! I was chosen, along with twenty-nine other bloggers to be one of Michaels Craft Store’s ‘Michael’s Makers.’ I have been so excited about this opportunity and working with a brand I absolutely adore. And working alongside thirty other fabulous bloggers is an absolute dream. As part of this program I get to share news about the craft store we so love and share crafts using their products. And this first bit of news is a humdinger!

You can now shop for all your favorite craft supplies ONLINE at! Say what?! I may never leave me house again! And even more wonderful, offers project ideas and one-click shopping lists for projects all in one place – so you don’t have to search the site for various supplies.

Take this Red and White Painted Bushel Basket I found in the projects section of the website. I love it and thought it would make the most perfect Hostess Gift Basket for a summer party. I purchased all the supplies listed on the site, followed the online tutorial (adding a few personal touches) and designed a coordinating ‘thanks for the poppin’ evening’ tag to tie everything together. I then filled the basket will all things ‘pop’ related: soda pop, otter pops, Tootsie pops, popcorn, popping sparklers and a few sassy straws for color.  Michaels made the whole craft so, so easy. Next on my project list is this Polka Dot Painted Galvanized Bucket and Red, White & Blue Floral Jar Containers.

If you would like to recreate this Hostess Gift Basket, purchase all your items at and you can download the free ‘Poppin’ tag HERE.
