Do you have a mega crafter in your family? Is your best friend pretty much Martha Stewart without the empire? Well I have assembled a best gifts for crafters list that will be a no-fail hit this season. Let’s jump right it.
My numero uno gift for any crafter is a Cricut Explore. This baby has changed by life and I use it everyday. Here are just a few reasons (I think this might require a post on it’s own….post pending) why crafters should own this machine:
– This baby cuts ANYTHING! Cork-board, leather, chip board, fabric, foam board, card stock…you name it, it cuts it.
– You can upload your own SVG designs. Tis is the real kicker for me. I am a graphic designer and I want to cut my own designs! I simply upload my files to Design Space and watch the Cricut bring my designs to life.
– Print & Cut! Need I say more. No more cutting all your printable parties. This baby does it for you.
And make sure to check out the Cricut Explore HERE.
I’m not sure if you’ve read my post, The Best Printer for Printables, but I stand by what I said in that article. Since posting the article, I upgraded to this model and love it so much. The Xerox 6500N is amazing for the price. The color quality is superb and the ink is inexpensive. It’s another crafter tool that I use EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. Every printable or printed project you see on this blog was printed on this machine. It’s dreamy.
You can purchase the Xerox 6500N Laser Printer HERE.
This puppy is on my Christmas list this year. I have been a die hard crafter for years without a paper cutter and I think I’ve proven myself worthy. Just read the reviews and specks on this thing. This line in particular caught my eye, ‘Cuts up to 10 sheets at once; 12 inch cutting length.’ Uhmm, yes please!

SCISSORS & PUNCHES
I don’t know a crafter in the world who does not cherish their scissors and punches. I have a very strict ‘no touchy’ policy on them in my home. They are my life-line to successful crafting. Here are my favorite scissors and punches:
This is my go-to hole punch mainly because they cut my 2.5′ Printable Party Circles perfectly. I like the handheld punches SO much more than the other because I have more control over where I punch. This is a must have for any printable crafter.
Check out and purchase the Fiskars Round’n Round Squeeze here.
Is it embarrassing to admit that I keep one of these in my purse? I mean, how don’t you? I use it ALL.THE.TIME. It’s so handy to have around and it’s an absolute must if you are constantly using printable favor tags like I am.
Check out and purchase the Fiskars 1/8 Inch Circle Hand Punch HERE.
There are loads of great scissors out there to choose from, but I’m a Fiskars gal. These are light, have a great grip and cut perfectly. I purchase them by the dozens.

RIBBON, GLITTER, PAPER & TWINE
Crafters know that a successful craft is all about the small details. That’s why an overwhelming amount of ribbon, tape and twine is always necessary in any crafters supply stash!
I’m a grosgrain ribbon person myself, so when I saw this collection of polka-dotted ribbon I instantly put it on my crafters must have list. You can never….ever….ever have to much ribbon.
Check out and purchase the Swiss Dot Grosgrain Ribbon HERE.
Paper like ribbon, is a crafters necessity. It’s all about having every color, in every pattern. I love this rainbow collection in polka-dots ,chevron, mini dots and stripes.

Oh I how I love glitter! Sparkly goodness. It doesn’t matter what kind, I love glitter! And this iridescent glitter is on my Christmas list this year. So sparkly!

Baker’s Twine is for sure my favorite craft accessory for 2014. I’ve used it on almost EVERYTHING. Twine is my go-to for party favors or gift tags. The twine provides the perfect amount of color and pattern to tie around a gift. It never takes away from a printable like ribbon can.

Glue and tape are a must when crafting! My glue gun is permanently plugged into my wall. And double-sided tape…I can’t live without it. Here are a few of my favorite adhesives.
Washi tape is the new ribbon. It’s perfect for almost any project and adds a fun burst of color and pattern to a craft. I’m loving this collection over on Amazon.

While we are talking about tape, let’s talk about the double sided-kind. The absolute bomb. I keep it in every drawer in my kitchen and use it for everything: school projects, fix it projects, paper crafts, printables. Only a crafter would love something so simple!

Spray adhesive is a fantastic craft tool. I use it anytime I work with glitter, sequins or foam. This is my favorite stuff right here.

A crafter’s classic…Mod Podge. I’ve been using this stuff for years and it continue to impress. It’s perfect for adhering fabric/leather or other textures and leaves that fabulous floss finish.

I am a Sharpie hoarder, but the Ultra-Fine Point are my favorite. I actually use the black ultra-fine point as my regular writing utensil.

Acrylics paints are great for your wood and painting crafts, and I love this assortment of colors by Martha Stewart.

And to use that acrylic paint, you will need brushes! I have this set and think it’s great. Nothing fancy or too expensive, but they do the job.
